My partner and I spend our winters in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for the last ten years and are looking for a new destination. We have heard about Manuel Anonio, Costa Rica and wondered what it is like there for two gay men late 50s. We are not big on night life but do like local restaurants and the beach.
We welcome all members of the LGTBIQ community to relax in this beautiful hotel with amazing views, meet new people and make friends. We are an adult-only resort with 12 rooms and 4 apartments nestled on a hillside in the absolutely best area of Quepos, Manuel Antonio. We offer, among others, clothing optional, infinity edge pool and jacuzzi with stunning panoramic views overlooking the rainforest and the Pacific Ocean.

Overview Costa Rica is on the leading edge of the gay rights movement in Central America, with the capital city of San Jose home to a fledgling gay bar and club scene. But nothing shows off this trend better than lovely Manuel Antonio, a coastal beach town that has become the Costa Rican version of Key West. Because Costa Rica remains a socially conservative, Catholic country, the LGBT communities here tend to be rather discreet, but no so in Manuel Antonio, where seeing boys holding hands on the street is common and accepted.
Villa roca is the best gay hotel in Manuel Antonio. Private, comfortable, clean, safe, nice staff, ocean view rooms is spectacular. BK was included and the the presentation of the meals was nice and delicious!
About a quarter of Costa Rica is made up of nature preserves. Jutting out into the ocean, this thickly forested peninsula has some of the easiest wildlife viewing on the planet. In a morning, without venturing too deep into the undergrowth, you are practically guaranteed to see iguanas, sloths, anteaters, and three types of monkeys.
Costa Rica is on the leading edge of the gay rights movement in Central America with Manuel Antonio being one of the most popular destinations in Costa Rica — this central pacific region of the country is home to beautiful beaches and incredible wildlife. The region is small, with only one major road connecting the biggest town — Quepos- at one end with the Manuel Antonio National Park at the other end. If you come to Costa Rica, you will not just come to club.
For jet-setting gay and lesbian travelers the world over, Manuel Antonio has a reputation as something of a dream destination. Homosexuality has been decriminalized in Costa Rica since the s — a rarity in all-too-often machismo-fueled, conservative Central America — and a well-established gay scene blossomed in Manuel Antonio soon after. It's not hard to understand why. Not only is the area stunningly beautiful but it has also long attracted liberal-minded individuals, creating a burgeoning artist community and a sophisticated restaurant scene.
Manuel Antonio features many hotels of a small to middle size. They range from 1 star to 5 star luxury. The following list provides a wide range of hotel options that are known to be particularly LGBT friendly, either because they are 'gay', 'gay owned' or very 'gay positive.
